Black Box Digital LLP respects user privacy and is committed to protecting user personal data. This Privacy Policy outlines how personal information is collected, used, and processed when you install or use our mobile applications ("App").

I. INFORMATION WE PROCESS AND HOW WE DO THE PROCESSING

We collect the following categories of personal data:

  • Identifiers: names, IP addresses, email addresses, and similar identifiers
  • Geolocation data: country code, city, time zone, and approximate location
  • Internet activity information: browsing history, app interaction data, and device information
  • Commercial information: records of in-app purchases and transactions

We do not collect any special categories of personal data about you (this includes details about your race or ethnicity, religious or philosophical beliefs, sex life, sexual orientation, political opinions, trade union membership, information about your health, and genetic and biometric data). We also do not have access to your credit or debit card details.

Direct Collection

You do not need to create an account to use the App. However, contact information (name, e-mail address, and any information that you provide) is collected when you contact our support team.

Automatic Collection

With your permission, we use third-party advertising and analytics tools that automatically process certain device identifiers and usage data, including:

  • Device specifications (OS type, model, screen size)
  • Network details (IP address, carrier, connection speed)
  • Location data (country code, city, time zone)
  • Cookies and tracking pixels
  • App interaction logs
  • Ad performance metrics
  • In-app purchase events

Information provided automatically to advertising or analytics tools does not generally come under our control.

II. THE PURPOSES OF PROCESSING YOUR PERSONAL DATA

We process your personal data for the following purposes:

  1. Service Improvement: To provide the App, maintain, improve, test, and monitor the effectiveness of our App, to understand user behavior and detect technical issues.
  2. Targeted Advertising: To deliver interest-based (behavioral) advertising or other targeted content based on your preferences and interactions.
  3. Communication: To send push notifications with technical notices, updates, security alerts, and support and administrative messages, and to respond to your inquiries.
  4. Safety and Legal Compliance: To prevent, detect, and investigate fraud, security breaches, and potentially prohibited or illegal activities.

III. INFORMATION SHARING AND DISCLOSURE

We will not rent or sell your personal data to any third parties. However, we may share your data with third-party service providers for analytics and advertising purposes.

Device identifiers, location data, and cookies may be shared with third-party ad networks and analytics providers. Our third-party partners include but are not limited to:

  • Google (AdMob, Firebase Analytics)
  • Facebook / Meta
  • AppLovin
  • Unity Technologies (Unity Ads)
  • Vungle
  • TikTok / ByteDance
  • AdColony
  • IronSource

Each third-party service has its own privacy policy governing the use of your information.

We may also disclose your data to government agencies, law enforcement, or courts as required by law, or in the event of mergers and acquisitions. We are not responsible for any usage of your personal data by the abovementioned third parties in violation of our instructions.

IV. INTERNATIONAL DATA TRANSFERS

Your personal data may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your country of residence, which may not provide the same level of protection of personal data as your country does.

By using the App, you agree that we may transfer your personal data to any third country. We encrypt data if possible before sending to hosting providers, and we cooperate only with those hosting organizations that have passed our security and reliability check.

V. HOW LONG DO WE USE YOUR PERSONAL DATA

We generally retain your personal information for as long as is necessary for performing the functional service of the App and to comply with our legal obligations.

Some data may be retained longer if required to comply with a legal obligation (taxation, accounting, audit) or to maintain safety and data backup settings, prevent fraud or other malicious acts.

VI. SECURITY

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including encryption with proper and strong encryption algorithms.

Unfortunately, no method of transmission over the Internet, or method of electronic storage, is 100% secure. We will promptly notify you if a security breach compromises your personal information.

VII. CHILDREN'S PRIVACY

Our Apps are not directed to children under the age of 18 (or older if required in an applicable jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors. If we discover that such information has been collected, we will erase that information as quickly as possible.

If you are under the age of 18, DO NOT DOWNLOAD OR USE the App.

VIII. YOUR RIGHTS AND CHOICES

8.1 European Economic Area (EEA) and UK Rights

If you are a resident of the EEA or UK, you have the following rights under EU-GDPR and UK-GDPR:

  • Data Access and Portability: You may request copies of your personal information.
  • Correction Rights: You may ask us to correct, change, update or rectify your data.
  • Deletion Rights: You may request deletion of your personal data held by us.
  • Processing Restrictions: You may limit how your information is used.

8.2 California Privacy Rights (CCPA)

If you are a California resident, you have the following rights:

  • Right to Access: Request disclosure of categories, sources, purposes, and specific pieces of personal information collected within the last 12 months.
  • Deletion Rights: Request deletion of collected personal information, subject to certain exceptions.
  • Right to Opt-Out: Direct us not to disclose your information in exchange for something of value.
  • Non-Discrimination: You cannot be denied services or charged differently for exercising your rights.

We do not sell personal information. However, if we decide to sell data in the future, we will notify users and provide opt-out methods.

To exercise your California rights, submit a verifiable consumer request via email. Include "Consumer rights to maintain confidentiality in the state of California" in the request text. We respond within 45 days and only process two requests per customer annually.

IX. HOW TO OPT-OUT

  • Ad Personalization: You can choose the option "Opt out of Ad Personalization" on your Android device in Settings > Google > Ads, or visit youradchoices.com. Note: you may continue to receive contextual ads based on other non-personal information.
  • Location Data: Turn off location in Settings > Apps > [our App] > Permissions > Location.
  • Push Notifications: Disable notifications through your device settings, though this may cause the App to lose full functionality.
  • Complete Opt-Out: Uninstalling the app stops all information collection regarding your App usage, though some data may remain in storage.

X. CHANGES TO THE PRIVACY POLICY

We reserve the right to update this Privacy Policy. We will from time to time update this Privacy Policy as we undertake new personal data practices or adopt new privacy policies. Changes will be posted on the website and other places that we consider appropriate.
